Western Canada’s first Costco enterprise middle opens in Edmonton
Good news, Costco lovers: the wholesale giant has just brought a new type of warehouse to Alberta.
The new Costco Business Center in Edmonton opens on Tuesday April 6th and is the first of its kind in western Canada.
Costco Business Centers aim to meet the needs of business owners by offering unique products, large formats, next-day delivery and earlier, more convenient shopping hours.
Costco Business Centers offer the same great value for money as the traditional warehouse, but buyers can find thousands of items not available in other locations.
In fact, over 70% of the Costco Business Center product offering is not found in regular Costco warehouses. They are designed to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes, including restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, and offices.
Best of all, while these stores are designed to make life easier for business owners, anyone with a Costco membership is welcome in the business centers.
That means you can browse the aisles and look at products that are not available anywhere else, including 16 liter rapeseed oil, flours and sugar in formats up to 25 kg, 36 kg Parmigiano wheels, 10 kg jars Peanut butter and 18.9 liter bottles of maple syrup.
Commercial slicers, mixers, and food processors are among the 3,200 high quality items available at the Edmonton Costco Business Center. Other exclusive items include bulk goods, commercial kitchen and cleaning products, office furniture and coffee accessories.
“Costco members will find our product offering unique and always deliver great value,” said Tom Benko, warehouse manager at the new location.
“This convenient and spacious location will showcase an entirely different selection of business items – at prices only Costco Wholesale can offer, and with the added bonus of a white glove delivery service on the next business day.”
Located at 10310 186th Street NW in West Edmonton, the 50,000-square-foot facility is attached to seven regular Costco warehouse stores across town.
The new location has created 140 local jobs and offers unprecedented convenience for the city’s business owners.
With business-friendly hours of operation Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., business owners can shop in-store or online during hours that best fit their schedule.
This is the fourth location of the Costco Business Center in Canada, with a fifth store slated to open this week in St. Catharine’s, Ontario, April 8th.
