There are 5 new murals coming to Edmonton and you’ll see them at this occasion

Calling all wall lovers. Five new murals are coming to Edmonton and you can see them appear at the Grindstone Mural Massive this weekend.

The second annual massive block party takes place along 81st Avenue between 100 and 101 Street NW.

Mural Massive is an indoor and outdoor arts event that celebrates the arts and theater culture of Edmonton.

Check out live wall painting, entertainment, food, drinks, dancing, and vendors.

All wall painters are local, with the talents of Ariel Durkin, Brie Adkins and Peter Gegolick to name a few.

In addition to the murals, 12 living walls will be painted within the grounds on September 11th and 12th. After the festival, the live walls will be relocated downtown for people to enjoy.

Entertainment includes local comedians Brent Ehtun, Sterling Scott and Caroline Stokes.

There is also music by The Steadies, Jeff Hendrick, Prayer Handz and Tiff Hall.

The event runs from Friday September 10th to Sunday September 12th.

Admission is free on Friday and lasts from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday can be found here.

If you can’t make it this weekend, you’re in luck. An extension of the event will take place on Saturday, September 18, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Armstrong Block.
