Quarterback Taylor Cornelius misses Edmonton Elks common season finale – EdmontonNews WAALI
The Edmonton Elks announced Monday that quarterback Taylor Cornelius will be out on Friday night when the team hosts the BC Lions in the regular-season finals at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium.
Cornelius was hospitalized with a splenic injury after the Elks’ 28-23 loss to the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday.
He was still hospitalized as of Monday, but the team said he is expected to make a full recovery.

In 12 games this season, Cornelius has passed for 2,768 yards while throwing 11 touchdown passes and nine interceptions.
The Elks finish their season against the BC Lions on Friday night at The Brick Field in Commonwealth Stadium.
