Have fun a Las Vegas-style wedding ceremony in Edmonton right here

If the travel restrictions of COVID-19 have delayed your Las Vegas wedding plans, a creative local solution for Edmontonians is now available.

A YEG Dinner Theater features Sin City-style weddings this summer, complete with glittering lights, James Dean and Marilyn Monroe cutouts, and a “Tunnel of Love.”

The Little Vegas Chapel Experience was created by the Mayfield Dinner Theater at the DoubleTree By Hilton West Edmonton hotel to help future brides and grooms get the Las Vegas feel without leaving the country.

Current Alberta public health restrictions allow up to 20 people to attend indoor wedding ceremonies, including the bride and groom, public officials and photographers. Therefore, only micro-weddings, elopements and vow renewals are currently held in the chapel.

Wedding receptions for up to 20 people are allowed outdoors, and if you want to get really creative, you can find a way to transfer the Sin City theme to a (small) open-air celebration. Elvis statue and disco ball shaped plates, anyone?

When you’ve been waiting to reassert your love for your significant other, have a shotgun wedding with your partner ready for anything, or fulfill a pact you made with your best friend to get married when you are Still being single, if you turned 40, now is your chance to do it in a fun and unique way.

The Little Vegas Chapel is now hosting wedding ceremonies through August.

It looks like the Mayfield Dinner Theater has thought of everything to bring your Vegas wedding dreams to life – all that’s missing is the infamous Strip.
