GLOW Edmonton briefly postponed to November 28th

Originally scheduled for November 18th, GLOW Christmas Edmonton is temporarily postponing its opening to Saturday November 28th. In consultation with Alberta Health Services, local GLOW owner Shannon Van Norman has decided to temporarily suspend her event in order to flatten the curve in Edmonton.

“It’s important to do our part now,” says Shannon Van Norman. “I have full confidence in the COVID-19 logs we have to ensure a safe and enjoyable vacation experience and I believe in the Edmonton temporary closure. I look forward to seeing all of our GLOW guests in two weeks see.” . “

GLOW is preparing a few options for guest tickets:

1. Exchange the ticket for another date this year;

2. Support GLOW Christmas by moving your ticket to 2021;

3. Refund your ticket.

The safety of the guests is a top priority at GLOW. Glow is committed to following COVID-19 health and safety protocols prescribed by provincial officials for public events. The combined effort of staff and guests will ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all:

  • Tickets with an assigned arrival time are sold in advance to support mandatory social distancing protocols.
  • Guests will arrive within 20 minutes of their scheduled time to access Glow Gardens and will leave within 2 hours of arrival. If a guest purchased a ticket for 4:00 p.m., they must arrive between 4:00 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. Guests arriving late will be rebooked to the next available time slot;
  • All guests must adhere to the flow of traffic on the event’s one-way street while walking around the event. Follow in the footsteps of the Christmas elves to help you.
  • Protective masks are mandatory for guests, staff and salespeople (exception: masks may be removed when consuming food or drinks. Food and drinks may only be consumed while sitting);
  • Please arrive with a protective face mask. People who do not wear a protective mask will be refused entry and / or they will be asked to leave the venue;
  • All guests will review the self-assessment guidelines posted on arrival. (Any guest with symptoms is not allowed to enter GLOW);
  • No guest may have traveled outside of the country within 14 days of the booking date.
  • Upon arrival, all guests must disinfect their hands at the disinfection station provided. We recommend that our guests make frequent use of the hand disinfection stations that are located throughout the venue.

BACKSTAGE

  • Capacity per square foot has been reduced to meet physical distance requirements;
  • Groups / bubbles must stay together and be 2 meters or 6 feet away from other guests;
  • High touch and high risk areas have been adjusted or eliminated. Please follow the “Do not touch” signs.
  • Additional cleaning staff was hired for more frequent cleaning times;
  • All employees must submit a COVID-19 screening questionnaire before each shift. Mask is compulsory at all times.
