eight scrumptious new spots to seize some meals in Edmonton earlier than summer time ends
We’ve only got a few weeks left of the season, and we’re looking to make the most of them! Maybe the best way? Checking out some delicious places around Edmonton for food before the summer ends. These past few months have been amazing for the city’s food scene, from international names to local options opening, it seems like every week!
Here are some delicious spots for a bite in Edmonton before summer ends.

LEOPARD
Arguably the most exciting name on this list, Leopard is a new pizza spot that only recently came to Glenora. And while that’s enough to grab our attention, there’s a more important factor here- it’s the latest concept from the folks behind two of the best bars in the city- Clementine and Woodwork.
Where: 14053 West Block Drive
TWICE CREAM
A sweet treat to beat the heat sounds just perfect to us! The newest name to join Edmonton’s pretty spectacular space is Twice Cream, which is conveniently located right beside Westmount Park.
Where: 10983 127 St
PF CHANG’S
We weren’t joking about international names moving in. This wildly popular pan-Asian franchise officially opened last month, after over a year of waiting for it. Mix up a family dinner night, or go enjoy there must-try eats with some pals.
Where: 6004 Currents Drive NW
CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN
This super-popular, Californian pizza concept chose Edmonton as its first-ever outpost in Canada! We’re flattered, and we think they deserve a shot for their seasonally-inspired and fresh options that focus on pizza (naturally), but also include breakfast, appetizers, and even some adult bevvies!
Where: 5260 Windermere Boulevard NW
EL MERO MERO
First a food truck, and now a full blown restaurant! You’ll be able to try everything from tamales to queso fundido to enchiladas, alongside their full range of tacos. Know the other bonus of opening a restaurant? Being able to add some more, ahem, adult beverages to the menu.
Where: 12223 156 Street NW
FUWA FUWA
This Vancouver-based chain specializes in the wildly fluffy Japanese souffle pancake. If you’re looking for a sweet brunch (or dinner) treat on a warm day, this is our top pick.
Where: 8103 104 Street NW

PALS
This new concept from the folks behind pip is so close to opening that we can smell the bread! The focus here? Delicious, deli-style sandwiches with some elevated sides and drinks to go with them. Now, if only they’d open while patio season is still on!
When: Slated to open soon
Where: 10403 83 Avenue NW
EL FURNITURE WAREHOUSE
Last but certainly not least is this ‘premium dive bar’ concept that has been taken over cities like Calgary and Vancouver. When every food item on the menu should be $10 or less, that just means wayyy more budget for some beers (or non-alcoholic alternatives) with your friends!
When: Slated to open soon
Where: 10765 Jasper Ave
