Edmonton’s greatest meals drive is again
“Edmonton Food Drive Will Stock Edmonton’s Food Bank For Fall And Winter”
On Saturday, September 25, 2021, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Latter-day Saint Church of Jesus Christ volunteers will collect non-perishable food donations for Edmonton’s Food Bank.
This year, clear Alberta Food Drive bags are being shipped to single family homes in many parts of the city. Multi-family houses such as apartments or townhouses do not receive notifications for reasons of accessibility.
“The Edmonton Food Drive will supply the Edmonton Food Bank in the fall and winter,” said Marjorie Bencz, CM, Executive Director at Edmonton’s Food Bank. “Our goal is to stay open and serve our community by providing groceries to our agency partners while helping individuals and families at the same time. We appreciate the efforts of the Latter-day Saint Fellowship to serve our neighbors in need. “
If you have received a bag and would like to donate, please leave your donation by Saturday, September 25th, 10:00 a.m. on your doorstep, where it will be visible to volunteers. If your house hasn’t received a bag and you want to help, all major grocery stores across Edmonton can donate groceries.
Donations can be made securely through the Edmonton Food Bank website edmontonsfoodbank.com/donate. Donations cannot be given as Edmonton’s Food Bank does not raise money through door-to-door campaigns.
