The latest trends in home innovation, design and easy living are all under one roof at the 2022 Edmonton Fall Home Show.
HGTV Canada super-renovator Sebastian Clovis, Toronto-based TV personality and designer Tiffany Pratt, and social media clutter queen Meghan Golightly are scheduled to appear on the Main Stage at the annual three-day show running Oct. 14 to 16 at the Edmonton Expo Centre.
Show manager Kristy Cairns explains that the show’s speakers and features will help people in whatever home improvement journey they are on.
“From local experts in home renovation to professional organizers eager to help you simplify your life, there really is something for everyone,” she says.
Nearly 200 exhibitors will showcase new products and services — anything Edmontonians need to succeed in home improvement projects or to hire reputable, reliable contractors. The show will have interactive booths with some very cool shopping opportunities.
“Producing a vibrant marketplace like we do takes a lot of work, and we know that folks are itching to get back to full events. So, we’re really happy to provide so many things for folks to see,” Cairns says.
Shop the Make It! Pop Up Market
Bring your biggest reusable shopping bag and visit socially conscious makers from across Alberta selling handcrafted items, from kitchenware, home goods to decor and more.
“We are partnering with our friends at Make It! which has been a popular trade show for years, to bring about 40 maker booths to the Pop Up Market. Attendees will find really amazing, curated items as they support these entrepreneurs,” says Cairns. “We’re excited to support local makers and bring this unique shopping experience to the Fall Home Show.”
Curate Vintage Market
What’s old is new again at this veritable buffet of distinctive found design objects and fashion items. The market is sponsored by Vintage Palm of Edmonton and will feature fellow vintage proprietors Lawless Vintage, Rylea Coyote Vintage, Alexander and Rose plus others. Each mini-shop within the market will bring their finest eclectic collection of vintage goods and pre-loved items from a bygone era.
The Greener Side
Presented by DYP (Do Your Part) Refillery of Calgary, The Greener Side will introduce show visitors to very simple ways to live sustainably. An eco-friendly, green outlook on life at home isn’t just a trend — it’s the future. DYP will be hosting unique workshops over the three-day show, teaching attendees how to make body scrubs, custom wreaths and how to shop in the most waste-free, planet-friendly way possible. Shop for minimal waste products that are recyclable, compost-friendly or refillable.
