Cielo Aldersyde and Edmonton Progress Replace Tone

Cielo is on track to complete the next steps

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / July 8, 2021 / Cielo WasteSolutions Corp. (TSXV: CMC) (OTCQB: CWSFF) (‘Darling’ or the ‘Companies’) is pleased to provide you with an update on its Aldersyde and Edmonton (Ft. Saskatchewan) facilities. Cielo is currently focusing on three immediate initiatives in the properties:

  1. Desulfurization at the Aldersyde plant
  2. Continuously planned production of 24,000 liters per day at the Aldersyde plant
  3. 100% owned by the company to develop and build the new Edmonton, Ft. Saskatchewan facility.

The desulphurisation plant arrived in Aldersyde on May 23, 2021. The equipment is needed for Cielo to reduce sulfur levels to below 15 parts per million (ppm), a priority next step. In connection with the supply of this equipment, Cielo has engaged several qualified engineers (processing, chemistry, mechanics and operations) as well as the engineering department of the University of Calgary to work with the Cielo team to complete this initiative. Cielo has now started commissioning this process and hopes to have it fully operational in the near future. Upon completion, Cielo hopes to have a high quality diesel product at less than 15ppm and benefit from the rising price per liter which is now over $ 2.00 / liter.

Cielo is pleased to announce that the Aldersyde plant will be producing diesel from the distillate storage tank from June 26, 2021. During this commissioning, it was important to ensure that all new equipment was compatible with the existing process. Cielo is pleased to announce that we have now started building up the planned capacity of 24,000 liters per day. Over a period of 10 days, Cielo produced around 53,000 liters of diesel, most recently 23,598 liters on a full day. On July 2, 2021, Cielo started producing distillate from wood waste and is now working full-time. As with commissioning the diesel process, it is important to start slowly and make sure that all new equipment works with the entire design process. Cielo has produced approx. 15,100 liters of distillate in the last 3 days and is regularly recording increasing numbers.

Don Allan, CEO of Cielo, said: ‘We have a great start to summer and are seeing the fruits of our labor come together. We have installed numerous technical upgrades to continuously produce high quality renewable diesel and we are pleased to announce that this is now being achieved. We worked very hard to achieve a continuous flow and we have now succeeded. Our next goal is to get the desulphurisation process started. ‘

The company is also satisfied with the initial work on the new company site in Edmonton (Ft. Saskatchewan). The first steps are the completion of the necessary permits, the design of the site and the further development of the engineering.

Mr. Allan continued: ‘Upon completion of these milestones, Cielo will be able to generate sales at our Aldersyde facility when the company begins production and then has consistent sales growth from the Edmonton, Ft.Saskatchewan facility. Achieve once is completed. The completion of these two corporate facilities lays the groundwork for multiple facilities to be built on the same modular model, potentially growing exuberantly over the next 12 to 36 months. We are also very excited to attend the Dunmore Plant Groundbreaking Ceremony on Thursday, July 8th. ‘

Cielo continues to strive to achieve its corporate goals and expects to do so within or ahead of schedule. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
