A Caribbean celebration is coming to Edmonton subsequent weekend

Not quite ready for summer to end? Boy, do we have the pick for you. The Cocktails and Jerk Festival returns to Edmonton next weekend, and it’s got a lot to offer! Here’s what you can expect if you decide to go.

As you might imagine, cocktails and jerk is a “Caribbean themed food event, showcasing popular street foods and tropical cocktail beverages.” So, expect a variety of vendors, representing the best cuisine in the city, to be offering some delicious Caribbean dishes, from jerk chicken to fried plantains and more.

That’s not all to look forward to, though! In addition to the food and drink options, the festival will also host a variety of music acts and entertainers. We’re talking some steel drums, we’re talking indigenous dancers, and we’re even talking a little bit of performance art.

The Cocktails and Jerk Festival will be setting up shop in Dr. Wilbert McIntyre Park, and will be on September 3rd and 4th. Admission is free, so go and check it out if you can!
